Shades of Youth – Das GNG-Kindermusical geht auf Tour

After months of preparation, the time has finally come: Our new Global New Generation children's musical "Shades of Youth – Black/White was yesterday" is premiering! In the workshops "FameNoGame" and "Dance without Borders", children and young people have developed their own songs, choreographies, poems and videos – now they are bringing their stories to the stage.

The first stop: The Transit Festival at Klempenow Castle. On July 12, 2025, we kick off a week of musical festivities – with live music, dance, powerful messages, and plenty of emotion. Those who can't make it to the castle have the opportunity to experience the performance live on July 27, 2025, at the Kenako Festival in Berlin.

„Shades of Youth“ tells the story of the reality of young people – between social media, prejudices, beauty ideals, family life, school stress and the desire to simply be themselves.

The stage becomes a space for questions such as:

• Who am I – and who am I allowed to be?

• What makes me strong?

• What does the sound of a generation that asserts itself sound like?

The young performers tell their stories with clear voices and creative means: through dance, song, poetry, debates, and statements. All self-developed – loud, honest, and courageous.

What the audience can expect:

• Live vocals & rousing original songs

• Expressive dances & solo performances

• A look at the digital world from a child's perspective

• Strong messages about diversity, respect and cohesion

A play for children, parents, educators – and for everyone who wants to listen, empathize and think along.

We thank our amazing leadership team Nadège, Leila, Ruffy and Sonja for their dedicated work with the children, and everyone involved in the Global New Generation Team for the intensive preparation period!
