From 3 p.m. onwards, the Family Space is bustling with activity. Most people are happy to see each other, some are even arguing about something. A few news items are quickly exchanged over snacks, and then the workshops begin.

The people in the village of Kounoune, Senegal, live off millet and maize products. The women grind the grain in mortars and pestles, a very labor-intensive process. We are collecting donations for three milling machines.
